Occupational Rehabilitation Services
Carolyn Manning Consulting Services has been providing specialist occupational rehabilitation services in Victoria since 2001 and is an approved provider with WorkSafe Victoria. Carolyn has been supporting workers as a rehabilitation consultant, to return safely back to their work environment since 1991. As a psychologist who has worked in a physical rehabilitation hospital with a multi-disciplinary team (including physiotherapists, occupational therapists, surgeons, etc) she has gained an understanding of both physical and stress related injuries.
A workplace injury can have a significant impact on a worker’s life. We work in partnership with the worker, their treating health practitioners, employer and union representatives to help support them return to their workplace. Sometimes this process requires extensive and skilled negotiations in the case of stress claims and a detailed assessment of the work environment.
Each worker’s needs may vary depending on whether they have a stress claim or a physical injury and whether they can return to work with their pre-injury employer or whether they need assistance to find new employment. The services we offer include initial rehabilitation assessments (this involves identifying your rehabilitation needs and goals and seeking feedback from your treating practitioners and employer, etc), return to work negotiations, monitoring and worksite assessments. Our team comprises of occupational rehabilitation consultants who have backgrounds in psychology, vocational counselling and ergonomics.
